War

War is like a bleeding sore.
Skin ripped from the bone,
crimson covering your once clean flesh;
like the way a solider is torn away from their family,
without regaurd for the effect of their well being,
to fight for someone else morals and ideas.

War is like a sore throat,
consantly annoying you,
alwaying lingering,
Agonizing.
like the destruction war leaves behind,
it cannot be ignored.

War is like a swelling zit,
building and pussing,
sore, gigantic, and noticable.
Similar to the pressure soliders must deal with,
increasing with every battle and every casualty,
until finally POP!,
they break down.

War is like a scar,
the physical pain eventually goes away,
you can always see it.
It's there as a constant reminder of
the infected sore that once inhabited that space.
